We are looking for a self-driven individual who is proficient in planning and managing self-perform works, conducting site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes, managing a team of engineers and supervisors, and possesses high-quality communication skills.
About The Role
* Maintain a positive working environment for staff and subcontractors.
* Participate in regular health, safety, and environmental inspections.
* Represent our organization in a professional manner to clients.
* Review project documentation and identify potential defects or delays before works commence.
* Implement cost control and forecasting strategies.
* Develop proficient programming skills for both short-term and long-term project programs.
* Support the estimating team in procuring work as required by the Civil and Infrastructure General Manager.
* Foster good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Review and understand subcontractor and supplier scope of works/programmes prior to issue.
* Examine project drawings, specifications, and documentation thoroughly before project commencement and throughout the project duration.
* Organize and chair project start-up meetings with the project team and supporting departments.
* Identify, monitor, and manage key project risks.
* Ensure subcontractors complete their works according to project documentation and specifications.
* Achieve agreed program deliveries within stipulated timeframes and contract management scope.
* Manage head contract claims (variations, extensions of time, progress etc.) and inform the General Manager/Commercial Manager of any claims that may put the project at risk.
* Prepare monthly project reports regarding financial and planning aspects for presentation to Senior Management.
* Approve and sign off on invoicing within set limits of authority.
* Coordinate completion and finalization of contract matters at the end of the project.
About You - Skills And Experience
* Relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable or a minimum requirement.
* 5+ years experience as a Project Manager within the Civil and Infrastructure sector is required.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
* Ability to lead and motivate team members.
* High attention to detail.
* Collaborative team player with high digital proficiency.
* Commitment to meeting time and financial goals.
