Are you looking for a role that offers hands-on involvement in mechanical maintenance operations at a power station?
This position, as a Trade Assistant, will have you working closely with trades personnel to perform routine inspections, equipment lubrication, minor isolations, and defect identification.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of plant and equipment, collecting spare parts locally, and contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
A strong teamwork ethos, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a Permit to Work system are essential requirements for this role.
Basic computer skills and a current or obtainable driver's license are also required.
As a key support to the maintenance team, you will help ensure the safe and efficient operation of generation assets.
* Safe Systems of Work: Adhere to established processes and procedures
* Assist trades personnel with routine maintenance and inspections
* Support plant operations including lubrication, isolations, and defect identification
* Maintain cleanliness of plant, equipment, and vehicles
* Pick up spare parts across the area
* Use computerised systems and work within a Permit to Work system
* Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience assisting trades or operational staff, a commitment to workplace safety, effective communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently and within safety systems.
Good computer literacy and a valid Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain) are also desirable.
