With a local headquarters in Byron Bay, they are scaling rapidly and evolving their financial and data systems to support continued growth.They are seeking a Business & Financial Analyst to join their lean but high-impact finance team.
This role will suit someone who thrives in the messy middle of transformation: where fragmented systems, global reporting requirements, and rapid change demand both resilience and creativity.Why This Role is UniqueAnalytics first: You'll wrangle complex data sets (sales, manufacturing, procurement, margins) and translate them into insights that drive decision-making across finance, operations, and global stakeholders.Global exposure: Reporting locally into the Finance Controller but working across a multi-billion-dollar parent group, you'll deliver insights that matter to teams in the US, Europe, and Australia.Greenfield environment: With ERP implementation on the horizon, you'll help build scalable reporting and analytics foundations from the ground up.What You'll Be DoingData Analytics & Insights: Cleanse, interpret, and connect fragmented data sources (Salesforce, Shopify, Unleashed, Xero, Phocas) to provide meaningful, actionable insights.Sales & Margin Analysis: Identify where the business makes (or loses) money — drilling into product mix, partner discounts, regional sales performance, and cost drivers.Business Partnering: Support MDs across regions with customised analytics, forecasts, and dashboards that answer the "what, why, and what next."Financial Reporting & Compliance: Contribute to month-end reporting, group compliance, and parent pack submissions — balancing the "fun stuff" of forecasting and analytics with core financial timelines.Process Improvement: Champion smarter use of systems, automate manual processes, and help bridge today's fragmented data environment with tomorrow's ERP-ready future.What We're Looking ForData-savvy finance qualified — likely with a background in accounting, but a stronger passion for analytics, modelling, and turning raw data into stories.Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (building models, formulations, automation).
