About the Role – you will:
* Manage a team of three reporters to generate quality, accurate content for various platforms
* Set together a weekly newspaper ranging from 28 to 40 pages per week
* Cultivate a good catalogue of contacts in order to break stories
* Liaise with our network of reporters across the State to deliver comprehensive coverage that caters to a range of communities
* Adapt to a fast‐paced and ever‐changing work environment, often working under tight deadlines
* Be exposed to incredible opportunities
* Embrace flexible work hours, including availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional travel as required
About you
* A passion for agriculture or desire to learn
* Strong writing and photographic skills
* At least three-to-five years of experience as a reporter
* A keen eye for detail and sharp news sense
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible with working hours and deadline‐driven
* Enjoy regional travel and regional news
* Preferably have editing experience

This is a 12‐month paternity leave fixed‐term contract.
