Highway Truck Mechanic
We are seeking a highly experienced truck mechanic to maintain our fleet of vehicles and contribute to the success of our business.
* The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Kenworth and Volvo truck systems and maintenance, as well as excellent auto-electrical knowledge and fabrication skills.
* A strong work ethic and passion for delivering high-quality results are essential for this role.
This is a permanent full-time position working on a 10-day fortnight. The successful applicant will be required to work every second weekend but the specific roster can be discussed during the interview process.
About the Role:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tyre rotations and brake replacements.
* Detect and diagnose faults in mechanical and electrical systems.
* Carry out repairs and replacement of parts as needed.
* Liaise with other departments to ensure all necessary information is shared.
Key Requirements:
* Fully qualified tradesperson with extensive experience in heavy vehicle maintenance.
* Strong understanding of Kenworth and Volvo truck systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
