Provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Paediatric and Child Health Department and Child Protection Service patients. About the role
Reporting to the Head of Unit Paediatrics & Child Health, this role is responsible for providing clinical leadership and contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Duties
Providing appropriate clinical care to Paediatric patients, including those with child protection concerns and vulnerabilities. Working harmoniously with all members of the clinical team. Providing clinical supervision to Senior Medical Practitioners, Trainee Medical Officers and Medical Students. Attending and participating in clinical and departmental meetings. Ensuring effective communication with other care providers to promote continuity of patient care. About you
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award. Demonstrated excellence in delivering clinical care to a wide range of acute and ambulatory paediatric clinical presentations. Demonstrated participation in approved continuing medical education since attaining specialist qualification. Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff. Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of professional judgement and medical competence in a multidisciplinary setting. Additional information
