The company delivers services across the full spectrum of the electricity industry, including electricity retail, solar, and power generation for commercial, industrial, government, and residential clients.

With operations in Darwin, Katherine, and Alice Springs, Rimfire Group is committed to quality service, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on safety and workforce development.

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of solar energy projects from planning through to completion.

The role requires a well-organised and practical professional who can manage timelines, budgets, and project teams while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including key milestones, deadlines, and overall timelines

• Establishing and managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and ongoing financial oversight

• Coordinating personnel, materials, and equipment to optimise workflow and project efficiency

• Overseeing and guiding project teams to ensure alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables

• Facilitating collaboration between engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders to support effective project delivery

• Monitoring project expenditure, identifying cost variances, and implementing cost control measures where required

• Reviewing project plans and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines

• Conducting site assessments and risk evaluations to identify potential hazards and implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

• Developing and maintaining risk management and contingency plans to minimise impacts on project outcomes

• Acting as the primary point of contact between clients and project teams, providing regular updates and resolving issues as they arise

• Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, reports, and compliance records

• Preparing and reviewing progress reports, tracking milestones, risks, and overall project performance

• Overseeing subcontractor performance, ensuring work meets contractual, technical, and quality standards

• Managing commercial aspects of contracts, including variations, negotiations, and compliance with agreed terms

• Ensuring all project activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations

• Providing regular updates and reports to the Operations Manager on project performance, risks, and resource requirements

• Supporting organisational objectives by ensuring projects align with strategic and operational goals

• Performing general administrative duties and proactively identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness

• Providing recommendations to Executive Management and escalating any client, operational, or administrative issues as required

• Undertaking any other duties as directed by management

Skills and Experience Required:

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Ability to manage budgets and project costs

* Good communication and team coordination skills

* Understanding of safety and compliance requirements

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Mandatory experience in residential and commercial solar & battery project management, and experience in LV electrical systems

* Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
