Location: Australia (Sydney or Melbourne preferred)
A global leader in capital markets and investment banking software solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Sales Director to lead business development efforts across Australia. This is a high-profile opportunity to join a market-leading provider of front-to-back office platforms for trading, treasury, risk management, and post-trade operations.
The company's clients include the world's leading investment banks, clearing houses, and financial institutions. Its solutions help clients streamline complex workflows, manage risk, and drive operational efficiency across capital markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full sales cycle for enterprise software solutions, targeting major investment banks and financial institutions across Australia and New Zealand.
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
Build strong relationships with C-level executives, heads of trading, treasury, risk, and operations.
Coordinate with internal pre-sales, solution engineering, and delivery teams to ensure a tailored, value-driven approach for each prospect.
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and conferences to enhance market presence.
Accurately forecast and report on pipeline development and revenue achievements.
Candidate Profile:
7+ years of success in enterprise software sales, preferably within capital markets, investment banking, or financial technology sectors.
Strong understanding of trading, treasury, collateral management, or risk management processes within investment banks.
Proven ability to manage long and complex sales cycles with Tier 1 financial institutions.
Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
Strong commercial acumen combined with a strategic and structured approach to market development.
Based in Australia, ideally Sydney or Melbourne, with the ability to travel within the region as required.
