About Us

Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.

We are seeking a motivated and customer focused individual to join our administrative team, providing essential reception and clerical support in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves working collaboratively with team members to deliver high quality front line services, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for patients and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls and enquiries, maintaining accurate and up to date records in iPM and Cerner FirstNet, and supporting patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. You will also be involved in database management, word processing, data collection, and other administrative tasks requiring strong written, verbal, and numerical communication skills. Flexibility is key, as the role includes rotating duties within the administrative department and contributing to ongoing quality improvement activities.

What You Will Bring To The Role

* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and adapt to changing work environments
* Proven capacity to prioritise and multi task, with the ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment
* Accurate Data entry and work processing skills and experience with data entry skills (patient registrations, patient data collection)
* Demonstrated ability to relate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, and a variety of people
* Previous front line customer service experience in health related position
