The Role
* Deliver an engaging secondary school English curriculum and teach literacy skills.
* Plan, implement and assess effective teaching and learning plans.
* Create and maintain a supportive and safe learning environment.
* Use culturally responsive practices and pedagogies.
* Build productive relationships with students, families, colleagues and community partners (e.g., STARS, Clontarf, Follow the Dream foundations).
* Reflect on practice and employ innovative approaches to enhance student outcomes.
* Adapt and use technology within the English learning area.

Eligibility
* Hold an eligible teaching qualification.
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights.
* Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start.
* Consent to a screening clearance and obtain a current screening clearance number before you start.
Eligible permanent teachers holding a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a Southwest Education Region school, may undertake this role as a 3‐year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
