* Limited timeframe contract to cover 9 months' Maternity Leave plus an option to be extended based on coverage required.
* Part‐time position, days of work – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Total of 25.33 hours per week, 10am–4:50pm each day.
* Rate of pay $28–$30 p/h based on experience and skill.

Your impact, with us
As our highly valued Medical Receptionist, you'll use your skills and expertise to provide friendly administrative support to patients with a wide range of heart and cardiovascular conditions.
Based in our Hervey Bay Clinics, you are responsible and accountable for providing and achieving a high quality, accurate and efficient reception and administrative service to the practice and its patients.
You'll make a meaningful impact by:
* Working efficiently in a fast‐paced administrative role where patient care is our focus
* Acting as the first point of contact to patients, greeting them on arrival and accurately processing relevant paperwork
* Adapting to and managing an environment where there is ongoing change and competing priorities
* Managing a large volume of telephone enquiries
* Billing and receipting of patient accounts
* Document scanning and reconciling daily banking
* Booking and rescheduling patient appointments for testing and consulting
* Importing and distributing medical records and patient information
* Actioning and responding to website enquiries and emails
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service, ideally in a medical/healthcare environment
* Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work as a proactive member of a multi‐disciplinary team
* Experience in billing/receipting medical accounts, Medicare and DVA billing
* Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient enquiries
* High attention to detail and the ability to adapt in a fast‐paced environment
* Positive and pro‐active attitude to help and improve
