An exciting opportunity has emerged for a pragmatic Chief People Officer to lead the people strategy of their organisation.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief People Officer is responsible for driving effective partnering of People functions with internal stakeholders to deliver the organisation's mission.

Responsibilities
* Driving the implementation, ongoing management and review of employee attraction, engagement and retention initiatives across the organisation;
* Driving the delivery of efficient and accurate payroll services;
* Leading the training and development function, including development, implementation, and periodic review of an SYC training framework and skills matrix;
* Leading the change management and continuous improvement strategies, including refining and developing the system capabilities used within the function;
* Contributing to the overall leadership, management and direction of the organisation as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

SYC is seeking a dynamic leader with demonstrated experience in human resources working across multijurisdictional environments. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication, high level business acumen, working knowledge of Employment Law and Payroll legislations as well as the ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must have completed (or must be willing to complete) the AICD Company Directors Course and must be willing to complete relevant employment checks. Tertiary qualifications in human resources or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
