About The Role
As a Project Officer, you will assist in delivering road and bridge projects across metropolitan Melbourne. Working under guidance, you will apply your professional judgement to plan, implement and monitor works, ensuring projects meet scope, quality, cost, time and safety requirements. You will track project progress, manage reporting and support contract administration, while applying your knowledge of engineering standards and practices.
This role also involves identifying risks, supporting mitigation strategies and holding contractors accountable for safety and compliance.
What We're Looking For
You are an analytical professional capable of supporting project delivery by prioritising tasks, maintaining accurate records and working to agreed plans. Core capabilities: critical thinking, problem solving, stakeholder engagement, resilience, focus on outcomes, collaborative approach and ability to use policies and guidance to resolve issues.
Traffic signal construction experience would be ideal.
Qualifications And Experience
Mandatory
* Engineering, project management or similar tertiary qualification
Desirable
* Understanding of project management principles
* Understanding of construction principles
* Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers/Clients
