Overview
On site float role (full or part time) to provide administrative support to our partners, lawyers and professional staff across our offices.
About the role
Based on site, as part of the national float team, you will provide administrative support to a team of partners, lawyers and professional staff, both in person and remotely across all of our practice groups nationally. As a float legal assistant, you will undertake varied and interesting work within our diverse practice groups – Corporate & Commercial, Dispute Resolution & Litigation, Property Planning & Development, Construction Infrastructure & Projects and Workplace Relations & Safety. Our core office hours are 8.30 am - 5.00 pm and on a day-to-day basis you can expect your duties to include:
* File maintenance - electronic and paper (iManage/Work10)
* Dictation
* Preparation of correspondence and legal documents
* Diary management
* Billing (Aderant)
* Editing documents
* Opening and closing client files
* Client contact
* Photocopying
* Archiving
* Coverage of Legal Assistants' planned and unplanned leave
* Reception cover and break relief support
About you
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a team-based, client-first approach. You will have excellent typing skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office and have excellent attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a busy practice with proven capability in managing multiple and changing priorities. You will have legal support experience with a broad interest in various legal practice areas. You will be versatile, genuinely adaptable to frequent change, comfortable working across the differing practice groups and skilled at building rapport quickly. Whilst we are open to considering law students you must have at least 2 years remaining in your studies.
