The Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Partnerships Manager to join our Commercial/Sponsorship team. This is an exciting role with a core focus on managing sponsor deliverables and growing commercial partnerships across the Pont3 portfolio and the Sydney Marathon event expo.
You will play a vital role in maximizing relationship value by building brand sponsorship amplification plans and facilitating opportunities to execute our partners' strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
* Account Management: Co-managing a portfolio of commercial partners and leading the execution of all contracted rights and benefits.
* Expo Leadership: Championing the Sydney Marathon expo by working with sponsors on engaging activations and growing the portfolio of exhibitors.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Marketing and Operations to deliver integrated event plans and innovative experiences for runners and partners.
* Sustainability & Growth: Embedding sustainability initiatives into negotiations and researching new sponsorship opportunities to recommend to the business.
* Event Operations: Leading the planning and on-site delivery of sponsorship activations, including supporting elite athletes and team runners during event periods.
About You
You are a Sydney-based professional with a passion for fitness and events. You are creative, resourceful, and a team player who can juggle multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
Our ideal candidate possesses:
* Experience: Minimum 3 years in sponsorship and events, preferably with mass participation events, and 1–2 years of management experience.
* Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, Canva, Google apps, and project management software like monday.com.
* Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prepare professional stakeholder proposals and reports.
* Agility: A "solution-driven" mindset and the ability to work extended hours and weekends during event periods, including on-site build and event days.
* Compliance: A current driver's license and an understanding of Workplace Health and Safety/risk management.
