Senior Mechanical Supervisor
A high-level mechanical supervisor is sought to lead the delivery of mechanical maintenance and construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in ensuring safety and delivering services to a high standard.
This role requires a deep understanding of legislation, industry codes of practice, and Australian Standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the delivery of mechanical construction, maintenance, and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient management of budgets, supervision, and development of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
The Senior Mechanical Supervisor will ensure the application of safety management systems (SMS) including participating in WHS audits, undertaking WHS inspections, ensuring accurate job documentation, and investigating safety incidents, risks, and breaches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing expert mechanical engineering advice, services, and consultancy to mechanical workers, external clients, and authorities.
* Ensuring legislation, industry codes of practice, Australian Standards, documented work methods, and Material Safety Data Sheets are updated, controlled, and communicated to stakeholders.
* Supervising the delivery of mechanical construction, maintenance, and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient management of budgets, supervision, and development of office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
* Ensuring the application of safety management systems (SMS) including participating in WHS audits, undertaking WHS inspections, ensuring accurate job documentation, and investigating safety incidents, risks, and breaches.
Requirements:
1. Current Queensland restricted (refrigeration trade) Electrical Work Licence.
2. Refrigeration/air-conditioning trade qualification Cert 3
3. Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card
4. Current cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and low voltage rescue certificate
5. Current, valid Queensland
