**The Role**
Responsible for supporting the success of the business through the design, delivery and implementation of effective end to end Human Resources services. This role will provide human resource expertise to the Leadership Team, and employees on all people related matters, including workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, change management and organisational design and development.
Additionally, the Human Resources Manager will be operationally hands on ensuring day to day HR processes are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner, while providing leadership and guidance to the People and Culture Administrator to deliver HR services.
Responsibilities will involve:
- Contribute to implementation of the strategic and operational plans of the business
- Design and deliver strategies to create a culture of collaboration, trust and accountability
- Build and develop leadership capability across the business emphasizing a coaching culture
- Implement, monitor and review all people policies and procedures ensuring they are aligned with relevant legislation
- Manage all elements of the employee lifecycle; recruitment and selection, on-boarding, performance management, inductions and departures
- Develop and implement a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and health and wellbeing plan, and implement related initiatives across the business
- Develop and maintain the Achievement and Development Review process for all employees
- Provide advice and guidance for adherence to Employment and Workplace legislation including the Fair Work Act
- Manage any Fair Work or WorkCover claims, rehabilitation and Return to Work of employees across the business
- Coach the business through organisational change ensuring effective project management skills, communication, engagement and leadership
- Respond to internal and external People and Culture related enquiries and provide assistance to managers and employees where required
- Maintain administration of all employee information (employment contract generation, contract variations and leaver documentation) in an accurate and timely manner
- Oversee the maintenance of current and up to date employee files and records
**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Leadership experience in a Human Resource Management function
- High attention to detail
- Strong negotiation skills with an ability to influence outcomes
- Strong business/commercial acumen
- Thorough understanding of best practice people and culture strategies and legislation
- Strong employee relations capability & ability to interpret Awards and legislative instruments across all states and territories of which Catalyst Education operates
- Natural leader with innovative and creative problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines and budgets
- Experienced in Human Resource or Enterprise Resource Planning system implementation
