Monadelphous are seeking a highly motivated Crane Mechanic for a site-based opportunity in Lihir Island, Papua New Guinea, on a 22:20 roster.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in project operations and will be responsible for the coordination, maintenance and compliance of a range of plant and equipment on site.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
* Plan and coordinate the maintenance of plant and equipment
* Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, both internal and client
* Liaise with a wide range of suppliers and contractors in relation to the maintenance of plant and equipment
* Maintain accurate records through the use of registers
* Provide breakdown response and coordinate repairs
* Ensure timely delivery of plant and equipment to meet contractual and project schedules
What you will bring
* Extensive experience in servicing/repairs of Franna Cranes and Tadano All Terrain Cranes
* Australian recognised mechanical trade certificate
* 5+ years of relevant experience in mining, heavy industrial or minerals processing environments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven record of coaching and mentoring individuals and teams
* A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
* Excellent time management skills and demonstrable experience achieving tight deadlines
* Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
