This role sits within a senior solutions and pre‑sales function, supporting high‑value transformation deals and working closely with customer executives, sales teams, and delivery practices.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud Solutions Architect to lead end‑to‑end solution design for large and complex data centre and hybrid cloud engagements.
This is a senior, customer‑facing role requiring deep technical expertise across core infrastructure domains, combined with strong commercial acumen and the ability to articulate business value.
You will play a critical role in shaping solutions for major transformation and managed services deals, from early engagement through to deal closure and handover.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end solution design for large Hybrid Cloud, Private Cloud, and Data Centre transformation engagements
* Act as the technical authority across infrastructure domains including:
* Servers, Storage, Backup
* Virtualisation and HCI platforms
* Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
* Public and Private Cloud operations
* Data centre consolidation and migration
* Design, size, and configure DC and Hybrid Cloud platforms, including OEM product selection, BOM creation, and pricing inputs
* Lead solutioning for large infrastructure migrations and transformation programs
* Drive innovation through adoption of infrastructure automation, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, observability, and GenAI‑enabled services
* Engage with customers at business and executive level, understanding objectives, compliance requirements, and translating them into technical solutions
* Own technical responses for RFI / RFP / bid activities, including:
* Solution architecture
* Sizing and costing
* Technical proposal responses
* Customer presentations and solution defence
* SOW development and commercial discussions
* Work closely with account teams, bid teams, and practice leads to progress opportunities and drive deals to closure
* Lead solution presentations and proactively position new propositions to customers
* Support transition and handover from pre‑sales to delivery teams
The Successful Candidate
You will be a senior infrastructure architect with extensive experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments.
Key skills and experience include:
* 15+ years' experience across data centre, hybrid cloud, and core IT infrastructure
* Proven experience designing managed services and transformation solutions for large enterprise clients
* Strong experience leading large Hybrid/Private Cloud deals end‑to‑end
* Deep subject‑matter expertise across:
* Servers, Storage, Backup
* HCI and virtualisation platforms
* Disaster Recovery
* Public and Private Cloud IaaS / PaaS
* Strong experience with virtualisation technologies including:
* VMware
* Nutanix (preferred)
* Microsoft
* Red Hat
* Experience with OEM product selection, sizing, BOM creation, and pricing
* Strong exposure to emerging technologies such as:
* Infrastructure‑as‑Code
* Observability platforms
* GenAI‑enabled managed services
* Proven ability to engage with senior customer executives and IT leadership
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to link technology solutions to business outcomes
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams
* Australian citizenship (mandatory)
