The National Hotel in Fremantle is seeking a proactive and efficient Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service within our organisation. The Duty Manager will be responsible for managing staff, handling customer enquiries and issues, and maintaining a smooth workflow during shift. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily operations during scheduled shifts, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards
* Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
* Handle customer enquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally
* Ensure all team members are delivering excellent customer service and adhering to company policies.
* Assist in onboarding, training, and evaluating staff performance
* Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
* Greet, serve and check-in/out hotel guests
* Cash control, cashing up and daily reconciliation of takings
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues
* Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

We also have Fremantle's only rooftop bar, offering premium drinks and 360 degree views of Fremantle. All of these areas will be under your supervision as Duty Manager.
