**The Role**
This rare and exciting role will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire collections process and your soon to be team
It will include all collections and recoveries activity is delivered with expected efficiency in line with your awesome standards and of course, the regulators.
You will be able to provide transparent reporting on both early and late-stage collections to ensure accurate processing whilst staying within target and budgeting requirements.
You will be confident in your expertise at setting collections and recovery strategies that support customers in financial difficulty and making sure that they receive fair outcomes whilst keeping your trained eye on appropriate forecasting, managing, and reporting for business growth.
You will provide strategic leadership and direction to your team including coaching, motivating, and developing an already awesome team, to nurture and build their career by providing first line of control and monitoring oversight.
Your analytical approach, technical report writing skills and extensive knowledge of collection laws will help you continuously find ways to improve the company's debt recovery efficiency and vision in all areas of this role.
**Responsibilities**
**Leadership**
- Foster and promote team values of Commitment, Compliance, Service and Greatness.
- Support the Chief Operating Officer in execution of Group Strategic Objectives.
- Identify and develop future leaders to ensure internal succession plans for key roles.
- Promote Champion of Champions program throughout the Collections department.
- Provide monthly report and stand up to the CEO collections team operating metrics.
- Partner with SMT to develop annual strategic plan
**Collections Management**
- Set collection targets for key clients ensuring delivery to budget. - Lead the development of the collections department strategy
- Support and engage with Collection Team Leaders in reaching Key Performance Indicators.
- Develop and implement new strategies to drive performance of collections team.
- Effectively promote the engagement of the Legal team and its services amongst the Collections Teams.
- Utilize data analytics to inform insights, strategies
- Effectively plan and manage resources to ensure adequate human resources planning
**Client Liaison**
- Actively engage with clients to develop and foster a broad rapport.
- Facilitate client engagements either virtually or in person to broaden engagement services with clients.
- Ensure delivery of end of month reporting to key clients and facilitation of client de-brief meetings.
- Provide support network to clients on general collections and credit management.
- Training and Development
- Ensure effective onboarding and continuous training and professional development support for Collections department.
- Work with collections leadership team to develop succession plans for key roles
**Compliance**
- Ensure collections team compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Foster and promote regulatory compliance in collections.
- Conduct training on staff where required to ensure compliance within regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with Systems Manager and Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure compliance is upheld by staff.
**Client Relations and Marketing**
- Support the Managing Director to develop strategies for entry into new markets.
- Drive business development from new business prospects and current client base.
- Support clients' needs and maintain customer service levels.
**Quality Assurance**
- Foster and promote quality assurance throughout the Collections team.
- Support the Chief Operating Officer to ensure that Quality targets are met under the Group Strategic Plan.
- Support the Quality and Compliance Manager to ensure that the Group remains Quality Assurance.
**Experience**
- Significant prior industry experience or established collections leadership experience
- Diploma in Financial Service/Credit Management or equivalent and Tertiary Qualifications preferable.
- Current or former membership to IMA, ACDBA and AICM or other industry related bodies.
- Direct and practical understanding of the following
