Job Description
Placed.au is looking for a full-time Carpenter for our client in Glynde, South Australia. This role suits a skilled tradesperson with strong technical knowledge of carpentry practices who can deliver high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety and building standards across construction projects. Job Description:
* Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accurate construction outcomes.
* Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials including timber, plywood, drywall, and related materials.
* Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, doors, and cabinetry in accordance with project requirements.
* Perform repair, maintenance, and refurbishment work on existing wooden structures.
* Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely, including saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns.
* Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with building codes and specifications.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe worksite and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
* Adhere strictly to occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and workplace procedures at all times.
Qualifications / Attributes:
* Must hold a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent,
OR at least three (3) years of relevant work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
* Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Carpenter or in a closely related role.
* Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
* Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and construction methods.
* High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality finishes.
* Physical capability and stamina to perform manual tasks effectively.
* Strong teamwork, communication skills, and a professional approach to work.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum, excluding superannuation
