We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated full‐time Fleet Controller based in Regency Park, SA. This key operational role is responsible for overseeing daily transport activities and ensuring efficient, safe, and cost‐effective fleet operations. Working closely with drivers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, you will keep our transport network running smoothly.
Working hours
Rotating shifts: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm and 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
What You'll Do
* Oversee daily fleet operations and allocate transport tasks efficiently.
* Assign work to company drivers, subcontractors, and external carriers to maximise productivity and cost‐effectiveness.
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with COR and fatigue management requirements.
* Conduct regular toolbox talks with drivers.
* Monitor pickups and deliveries to meet customer timeframes.
* Provide updates to customers and internal stakeholders on delivery status.
* Use fleet systems to track performance and support scanning targets.
* Plan labour and fleet resources in line with daily volumes and the budget.
* Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure fleet presentation standards are met.
* Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations where applicable.
* Support operational reporting, revenue recovery, and service outcomes.
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or fleet control role.
* Strong knowledge of transport systems and operations.
* Solid understanding of road legislation, COR, and fatigue management.
* Good geographical knowledge of Australia and metro networks.
* Strong communication and problem‐solving skills.
* Computer proficiency, particularly in MS Office.
* Valid driver's licence required.
