Our client who operates a chemical hazardous manufacturing facility requires a Civil/Structural Engineer to work within the engineering capital delivery team to manage projects and oversee civil/structural design.
It is anticipated that this will be a 12 month contract for the right candidate.
Projects will include upgrades to tanker unloading bunding, concrete tanks remediations and various concrete works.
The candidate must possess excellent communication skills required for interfaces in an operational environment and which are supported by a suitable IT skillset.
Civil Engineer requirements
1. Develop design option assessments
2. Check design and propose best solutions
3. Generate SOW packs for contractors.
4. Conduct Tendering and Technical Bid evaluations of contractor quotes.
5. Check and approval of civil and structural design documents.
6. Evaluate contractors pricing and negotiate.
7. Manage smaller civil and structural projects from inception to closure.
8. Manage civil work teams on site. Construction white card required.
9. Development and review of JSEAs.
10. Development of inspection test plans.
A suitable remuneration package will be negotiated based on experience. Only candidates with the right to work in Australia will be considered.
