Mondrian Gold Coast is an immersive precinct that reflects the culture of one of Australia's most iconic coastal destinations.Job DescriptionThe Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Engineering functions, ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests while safeguarding the owner's investment.
This role leads the daily operations of the Engineering Team, ensuring that all maintenance tasks and objectives are executed efficiently to maintain the property and hotel operations at peak performance.YOUR DAY TO DAYProvide a professional, advisory and support service to the Director of Engineering to assist in meeting the strategic goals of The Property.Plan and carry out preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel to ensure standards are maintained for a positive guest experience.Manage and control the Maintenance Request System and regularly complete analysis on the System regarding frequent guest or Property issues, timeliness of Requests/Jobs and suggest and implement any improvements based on analysis.Delegate the completion of general repairs and maintenance to the property within Engineering team or contractors as required.Champion resource management improvements and conservation.Be responsible for the testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting etc. on a routine basis as required by local Council and Fire Service.Liaise with the Director of Engineering and Director of Finance regarding use of contractors within the Hotel, controlling expenditure and ensuring work is to the standard required by the company and manufacturer specifications.Ensure the cost effective and hygienic removal of rubbish from the Hotel areas and monitor to ensure areas are clear and free of offensive odour.Liaise closely with front desk and housekeeping regarding 'down' rooms to expedite a quick turn around and return to inventory.What We Need Form YouQualified Engineer (preferred)Proven experience as a Chief Engineer/Facilities Manager or similar role.Strong technical knowledge of building systems (Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical etc)Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.Knowledge of Australian Standards related to facilities management.Body/Owners Corporation Experience.Strong project Managment experienceWhat We OfferBe part of the launch of the Mondrian Brand in AustraliaDiscounted Accommodation across the Accor HotelsF&B DiscountsQualificationsQualified Engineer (preferred)First name *This field is required.Last name *This field is required.Email *Your email address is required.Phone *This field is required.Resume *.
