Role Overview
We are on the lookout for two experienced Audio Engineers to bring their technical expertise and creative flair to a wide range of programs and projects—across broadcast and online platforms. These roles are based primarily in our Brisbane South Bank site, supporting Local Radio, Sport, Radio National, Radio Australia and Podcast Production.
Responsibilities
Mixing live and pre-recorded studio programs, outside broadcasts, and digital content for streaming and download.
Collaborating closely with creative teams to solve problems, find better workflows and form content ideas from the ground up.
Applying knowledge of RF and IP technologies to enhance how we create and distribute audio.
Mixing music and field recordings and troubleshooting any operational or transmission issues that arise.
Working alongside producers, content directors, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate productions, offering technical advice and creative solutions.
Managing WHS risks and conducting assessments both in-studio and on location.
Handling minor assets and sourcing equipment for program makers.
Contributing to team meetings and sharing insights to help elevate our audio output.
Qualifications
Solid experience in audio and radio production, with a strong grasp of the technologies and systems involved.
A deep understanding of broadcast networks and the ability to adapt to new tech.
Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail—especially in live broadcast environments.
Great communication and teamwork skills—you'll be working with a wide range of people.
Strong computer literacy, particularly with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and other broadcast/editing systems.
