The Role 
The Field Electrical Technician will assist with timely maintenance and repair on all surface and underground equipment on site, in order to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are obtained.
Additionally, they will assist with training and implementation of specific diagnostic knowledge to operations and other personnel.
**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:
- Servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and fault-finding on underground equipment and control circuitry, to ensure safe, optimum operation is sustained 
- Participate in ordering and maintenance of relevant parts/stock 
- Develop, train and supervise junior Maintenance team members, in a technical capacity 
- Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting of all relevant safety hazards
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Essential 
- 3 - 5 years previous experience in the mining industry/heavy industrial sector 
- Current Electrical Worker's License 
- Current C Class Driver's License 
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings 
- Mechanical aptitude 
- Understanding of basic instrumentation
Desirable 
- Ability to interpret hydraulic schematic diagrams 
- Cert 4 instrumentation 
- Forklift ticket 
- Underground mining experience
