Clinical Nurse Specialist - Consultation and Liaison Role
This position involves providing clinical services to young people and their families/significant others experiencing complex mental health concerns. The successful applicant will be a registered nurse with specialist tertiary graduate or postgraduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualifications, and current working with children registration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing specialist triage, crisis, and clinical assessment services that support right place, right time, and right care principles to facilitate determined need.
* Supporting the reduction of Emergency Department waiting times, admissions, and early discharge to all inpatient wards or Youth Mental Health Hospital in The Home through the identification, negotiation, and initiation of alternative appropriate and safe community-based supports.
* Promoting a positive working culture by developing effective partnerships and exceptional working relationships with all stakeholders, both within the agency and with external community service providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Mental health/psychiatric nursing qualifications.
* Current Working with Children Registration.
