Are you a seasoned professional seeking a challenging managerial role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Compliance Manager to join our team.
About the Role
This is a managerial position on our Product Compliance team, reporting into the Legal/Regulatory department. You will be responsible for supporting AmTrust's property & casualty products written by its retail and program business units.
1. Preparation and submission of SERFF filings supporting product enhancement and expansion initiatives developed by AmTrust's product and actuarial teams for all 51 jurisdictions.
2. Manage a small (2-3 member) team of compliance professionals, ensuring high performance, meeting deadlines, producing high-quality work, and maintaining staff engagement with AmTrust's goals and mission.
3. Manage multiple insurance product filing initiatives, coordinating with product leaders on scope and priority changes, and providing timely updates.
4. Monitor ISO activities for supported lines of business across jurisdictions, document and advise on relevant changes affecting AmTrust products.
5. Interface with internal stakeholders and regulators to resolve objections and ensure compliance with state regulations.
6. Maintain records supporting all product creations, revisions, and amendments, demonstrating compliance to state examiners.
7. Collaborate with IT on product implementation and system programming, providing guidance on insurance practices as needed.
8. Stay current with market trends related to supported lines.
9. Communicate changes in relevant statutes to business clients and team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5+ years of broad product compliance experience with commercial P&C coverages, with expert knowledge in at least one ISO-based coverage: Businessowners, commercial auto, commercial general liability, commercial property, or professional liability.
* The ability to collaborate with product leaders on form, rules, or rating algorithm changes, or explain coverage nuances to counsel.
* Experience with SERFF and filing assembly.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and SERFF (or Smartsheet as a substitute).
* Strong communication skills for interaction with regulators and leadership.
* The ability to convey policies, procedures, and values to team members.
