A rare and rewarding opportunity exists for meticulous and experienced Contracts and Procurement Officer to join our busy Procurement team at the City of Kwinana. This is a full‑time position reporting to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts and working alongside a stellar group of like‑minded professionals.
As our recent Contracts and Procurement Officer you will be responsible for administering the City’s procurement and contract management processes. The successful incumbent will provide guidance, systems support and advice to employees to ensure purchasing activities are compliant, efficient, and consistent with the City’s policies and procedures. You will liaise across all teams to deliver direction, advice and support on procurement, purchasing, and contract‑related matters.

What You’ll Need
To make an impact as our Contracts and Procurement Officer, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a procurement, contracts or tenders role
- Robust knowledge of procurement and purchasing practices, including statutory and legal requirements for tendering, contract formation, and contract administration
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to influence while supporting fairness, transparency and good risk management in procurement
- Proven analytical and written communication skills, with the capacity to prepare accurate, clear and informative reports and documentation
- Excellent initiative and the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing demands, and work autonomously with appropriate guidance
- High level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and financial management systems
- Commitment to delivering quality customer service through proactive and positive communication
- Possession of a C Class Driver’s licence
