The Senior Treasury Analyst plays a crucial role within our organisation, collaborating with a dedicated Treasury Team that carefully oversees the daily operations of the corporate treasury function.In this position, you will engage with various stakeholders throughout the business, delivering high-quality treasury and finance decision support. As Viva Energy evolves into a larger independent entity with a strategic focus on growth, this role will significantly enhance your skill set.Your responsibilities will include daily activities such as liquidity management, reporting, finance, accounting, compliance, risk management, and the administration of transactional banking solutions, including the controls framework.Responsibilities & RequirementsLiquidity ManagementMaintain and understand in detail the short to long-term Group cashflow forecast and its impact on financial performance. Develop sensitivity and variance analysis to increase forecast accuracy and optimise working capital and liquidity. Oversee daily financial activities including Group funding requirements and payment approvals.Support trade finance instruments such as bank guarantees, performance bonds, letters of credit, and receivables financing.Reporting/Financial Accounting/ComplianceManage the relationship with the back office team for cash management.Oversee and complete treasury month-end financial processes, including balance sheet reconciliations.Coordinate treasury half-year and full-year audits.Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies.Risk ManagementAnalyse and interpret financial data.Prepare weekly treasury reports for the Executive Leadership team.Monitor valuations and performance of hedges daily, ensuring accurate transaction reporting.OtherAssist with M&A activities related to transactional banking and funding facilities.Perform ad hoc administrative duties as needed.System SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of JD Edwards and/or Microsoft D365 is a plus but not mandatory.QualificationsExperience managing transactional banking solutions and controls frameworks.CA/CPA qualification or a degree in Finance, Economics, or related fields.Experience in corporate or financial institution treasury roles.Ability to develop financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis.Strong understanding of accounting principles.Decisiveness under pressure.Problem-solving skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.Knowledge of financial markets instruments and products.Excellent presentation, reporting, and communication skills.Additional InformationWe encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and support diversity in all roles.Please note: This role is sourced through Viva Energy Australia, and we will not accept applications via external recruitment agencies.
