About The Role
The Specialist Harmful Sexual Behaviours (HSB) Program provides a trauma-safe and culturally-safe response to children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviours. The service offers healing, support, counselling, and a therapeutic approach, working holistically with all involved.
The Clinical Social Worker or Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist will provide clinical consultation and supervision to team members within the Specialist HSB Program.
This is a Fixed Term Full-time position (38 hours/week) until 10.12.2026, based in Port Hedland, WA, reporting to the Principal Practitioner WA/NT.
Key Selection Criteria
* Understanding of Aboriginal culture and issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
* Qualification and experience in Psychology/Social Work with a clinical focus.
* Experience working with children and families in therapeutic settings.
* Knowledge and experience with children and young people displaying harmful sexual behaviours.
* Group work experience with children and/or adults.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
