We're on the lookout for a skilled Baker who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working as part of a tight-knit team, and wants to be part of an iconic Australian brand known for quality, creativity, and consistency.
The Role
As a Baker at Black Star Pastry, you'll be hands-on in producing high-quality baked products that meet our exacting standards - from preparation through to bake-off. Supporting our Baker CDP, you'll work in a fast-paced production environment where teamwork, attention to detail, and care for the product really matter.
Day-to-day outcomes look like:
* Mixing, preparing, baking, and finishing products to Black Star Pastry standards
* Making custards and fillings from scratch
* Working with doughs, batters, creams and fillings using your learned baking skills and processes
* Following recipes, production schedules and food safety procedures
* Supporting the wider kitchen team to deliver consistent, beautiful results every day
What will make you succeed in this role:
* Previous experience as a Baker or in a commercial baking or pastry environment
* Strong understanding of baking techniques and processes
* Reliable, organised and comfortable with early starts (our kitchen opens at 5am)
* A team player with a great work ethic and positive attitude
* Passion for quality product and pride in your work
