Content review role of a market leading legal website
Remote role for an innovative national law group
About us
Armstrong Legal is a national, client-first, market-leading law firm and part of the publicly listed personal legal services group, AF Legal.
With a strong focus on quality and several Accredited Specialists in criminal law, we are outcomes-focused, empathetic, and adopt a holistic approach to supporting our clients' needs.
As part of the AF Legal Group, we do things differently—fostering a positive, flexible, and inclusive environment for both clients and staff.
We embrace technology and drive innovation to enhance efficiency and deliver the highest standard of service.
About the Role
We are seeking a WA-based Senior Criminal Lawyer for a part-time contract role, requiring a minimum commitment of two days per week.
This position will continue until the completion of the content review.
This is a strategic content review role, working closely with our National Criminal Law Practice Director and our marketing and communications team to ensure our new website content reflects best practice and professional integrity.
The role will involve
Reviewing existing WA criminal law content for accuracy and compliance
Advising on tone, terminology, and accessibility for clients
Collaborating cross-functionally to harmonise content across jurisdictions
Ensuring simplicity—presenting complex legal concepts clearly
This is initially a contract content writer role; however, for the right candidate, there is potential to transition into a Lawyer role within our growing national firm.
This includes opportunities to contribute to the development and launch of our Western Australia Criminal Law practice.
About You
You are an experienced Western Australia based Senior Criminal Lawyer, joining us on a part-time contract to review and refine WA criminal law content for a market-leading legal website.
You bring the technical expertise and attention to detail needed to ensure all content is legally accurate, aligned with the latest legislation, technically correct, and client-friendly.
This role focuses exclusively on website content review—no casework or client-facing responsibilities are involved.
Skills and Experience
WA-admitted Senior Criminal Lawyer with extensive experience in criminal law (6+ years PQE) and up-to-date knowledge of the Western Australian jurisdiction
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to translate technical legal language into client-friendly content
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Experience in content review or legal publishing is an advantage
Ability to meet deadlines and manage project deliverables effectively
Benefits and Perks
Flexible work arrangements, including work from home with occasional office attendance, within a nationally collaborative team
A supportive team culture that values enjoyment at work and recognises strong performance
Career-enhancing experience, including the opportunity to shape the digital presence of a publicly listed law group
No agencies please, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
