Overview
We are seeking an AM supervisor, in a full time permanent position, for immediate start, based at our Glenorchy depot.
Responsibilities
* Organise the drivers and their delivery runs, ensuring efficiency and productivity targets are met or exceeded.
* Lead a small team of dock hands.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in logistics, with the ability to think and plan logically.
* Ability to lead and motivate personnel, perform well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks in express freight logistics.
* Comfortable with an early start – 4:00 AM, Monday to Friday; reliability of meeting start time is critical.
* Basic PC skills – email and low level Excel; some KPI and POD work required.
* Good communication skills, able to build quality communications with customers and colleagues.
* Physically fit with knowledge of manual handling techniques.
* Solid geographical knowledge of Hobart and surrounding suburbs.
* Current forklift and drivers licence.
* Willingness to maintain a clean and safe workspace and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
* National Police check is required and must pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
