The main role of the Process Development Engineer is to develop processes for our new Packaged Optical Modules. The Engineer is also responsible for developing, updating and maintaining processes for the assembly of existing product lines.
Key responsibilities
· Develop and refine manufacturing processes for opto-electro-mechanical components and systems including die attach, PCBA/Flex attach etc…
· Collaborate with R&D to translate prototypes into scalable production methods
· Draft, release and maintain process specifications and work instructions required for the assembly of new and existing products
· Specify, plan and perform verification/validation testing of new assembly processes
· Establish and maintain process documentation, FMEAs, and control plans
· Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC ) and other monitoring tools to ensure process stability
· Contribute to the team responsible for transferring the new assemblies to our overseas production plants once developed
