The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Panel Beater to join our Sydney team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about vehicle restoration, with a keen eye for detail and hands-on expertise in repairing, reshaping, and replacing vehicle panels.
The candidate in mind will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
* Assessing and dismantling damaged panels and components to access repair areas.
* Restoring vehicle panels by hammering, reshaping, and straightening using mechanical and hydraulic tools.
* Replacing severely damaged sections with high-quality new or refurbished panels.
* Filling, sanding, grinding, and finishing surfaces to ensure a smooth, professional result.
* Cutting, welding, and joining replacement sections with precision and safety.
* Refitting repaired panels and reassembling body hardware, including trims, locks, and upholstery.
* Supporting vehicle body construction or restoration projects, including custom-designed, vintage, and specialty vehicles.
* Collaborating with the workshop team to ensure repairs meet safety, quality, and insurance standards.
Qualifications:• Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology (preferred but not required)• Diploma in Automotive / Vehicle Body Repair with hands-on experience (preferred but not required)
Skills & Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year experienced as panel beater or auto body technician or similar
* Skilled in metal shaping, welding, filling, sanding, and finishing.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
* Knowledgeable in vehicle body standards, safety, and insurance repair requirements.
* Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
