Job Title: Lifeguard
To ensure the safety of all participants during water-based events, you will be responsible for monitoring the surrounding areas and being prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor the water and surrounding areas to identify potential hazards and prevent incidents.
* Be prepared to conduct water rescues and provide first aid as needed.
* Conduct regular safety inspections of the event area and ensure all safety equipment is in good working order.
* Provide guidance and assistance to attendees, addressing any safety concerns or inquiries.
* Document and report any incidents or safety issues to event coordinators and relevant authorities as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current lifeguard certification (e.g., Royal Life Saving Society or equivalent) and first aid certification.
* Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in open water or event settings.
* Strong observational skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
* Good physical fitness and ability to perform water rescues and first aid tasks.
* Familiarity with the event location and its specific safety considerations is an advantage.
