About the role
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Kingfishers Cafe & Restaurant in Toowoomba, QLD. As a full-time member of our vibrant kitchen, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our customers. Service for breakfast & lunch.
What you'll be doing
* Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, focusing on fresh, locally-sourced ingredients
* Ensure all dishes are presented to the highest standard, adhering to our brand guidelines
* Collaborate with the other chefs to develop new menu items and improve existing ones
* Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
* Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations
* Mentor and train junior kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards
What we're looking for
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment
* Strong working knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
* Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
* Qualifications in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
