Aspect Personnel are currently working with a Council in a Northern Suburb to recruit for a Development Engineering Officer.
**Employed as a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for**:
- Provide advice for planning referrals including assessment and preparation of planning permit conditions.
- To ensure subdivision works are in accordance with planning permit conditions.
- Undertake inspections for quality control of subdivision works.
- Assess traffic management and road safety issues resulting from customer requests.
- Prepare cost estimates for various civil engineering projects.
- Supervise Capital Works Projects as required.
- Operation of Council's Asset Protection Permit process.
- Co-ordinate works within Council's road reserves by service providers and ensure that these works are carried out in accordance with Council Standards and Policies.
- Prepare correspondence for matters in relation to issues within the key responsibility areas.
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related field) and_/_or substantial experience gained in the area of subdivision development, civil engineering construction/supervision, traffic management and road safety.
- Skills relating to word processing and spreadsheet creation and maintenance.
- Skills in the preparation of designs and estimates of costs for minor civil engineering projects.
- Experience in the supervision of civil engineering construction works.
- Current Victorian driver's licence.
