Position Summary
We are seeking a
Technical Sales Specialist (Leak Detection)
to support and grow sales across Australia for a market-leading water utility leak detection and network monitoring portfolio.
This role blends technical consulting with commercial sales execution, working closely with water utilities, councils and service providers to deliver intelligent monitoring solutions across municipal water distribution networks.
Working alongside the Australian Business Manager, you will take ownership of a defined region, build a strong opportunity pipeline, support tenders, deliver demonstrations, and convert projects through to order.
Flexible on location across East-Coast Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and manage a healthy sales and project pipeline
* Identify new opportunities with water utilities, councils, contractors and service providers
* Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, pilots and proof-of-concepts
* Translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
* Support tenders, RFQs and proposals with technical and commercial input
* Manage opportunities through CRM from lead through to order
* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
* Maintain awareness of competitor technologies and clearly communicate value propositions
* Provide reporting, forecasts and input into regional growth strategies
Required Experience
* 3+ years' experience in technical sales within the water industry
* Experience with water monitoring, instrumentation, sensors, IoT or treatment systems highly regarded
* Engineering or technical qualification (Water, Civil, Environmental, Process, Automation or similar)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
* Commercially minded with a proactive, hands-on approach
* Willingness to travel within Australia
