About the Role: Our client is a government department seeking a highly skilled Azure Administrator / Cloud Solution Architect to join their Cloud Transition journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the transformation of legacy systems into a modern, cloud-native environment while supporting the maturity uplift of a large-scale Azure subscription.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the redesign and migration of legacy systems to Microsoft Azure.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and constraints.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions and re-architect legacy services.
Administer and optimise Azure environments for performance, security, and cost.
Develop repeatable deployment patterns for Azure services (VMs, databases, storage).
Ensure compliance with government security frameworks and best practices.
Monitor and improve cloud service performance.
Participate in Change Advisory Boards and Architecture Review Groups.
Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as an Azure Administrator and Cloud Solution Architect.
Robust background in managing operational service catalogues on Azure.
Relevant qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
Skilled in documenting technical requirements and system configurations.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with hybrid identity environments (Active Directory, Entra ID, etc.).
Ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
