As part of its ongoing growth, an opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager in the Technology Audit team has now arisen.
The Role
Taking on a hands-on leadership role in this critical IT Audit and consulting practice, the successful candidate will take the lead in spearheading several client-critical IT audit projects. Working directly with clients across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, they will occupy a truly consultative position in providing findings and recommendations to set clients up for significant business improvements.
Key areas of focus will include:
- Advising clients on aligning IT strategies with broader business objectives.
- Leading clients towards increased innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
- Assisting in developing IT roadmaps, target operating models, and transformation plans.
- Evaluating IT organisational structures, governance frameworks, and resource capabilities to enhance strategic effectiveness.
- Supporting clients in adopting emerging technologies and building digital resilience through forward-looking operational strategies.
- Assessing the effectiveness of IT infrastructure, service delivery models, and operational processes to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Recommending enhancements to ITIL-based service management practices, systems availability, disaster recovery, and support functions.
- Helping clients to optimise infrastructure investments (on-premise, cloud, hybrid) through cost-benefit analysis and operational benchmarking.
- Leading assessments of IT resource utilisation, performance KPIs, and systems integration to improve service levels and business continuity.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of technology risks across infrastructure, applications, third-party providers, and digital platforms.
- Design and evaluate controls in line with frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, and APRA CPS 234.
- Provide advice on cyber risk, data governance, regulatory compliance, and system integrity.
In this key client-facing role, the selected candidate will also:
- Support a diverse portfolio of clients and engagements across key industry groups.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Lead, manage and mentor teams delivering internal audit and risk consulting engagements.
- Oversee project economics and ensure timely delivery, closure, and billing of client work.
- Serve as a role model for service excellence and help develop team members' professional competencies.
- Enhance the firm's market presence and contribute to strategic growth by expanding the firm's client base.
- Travel to client sites as required, including occasional interstate assignments.
- Building long-term client relationships based on trust, credibility, and proactive problem-solving

Your Profile
Experienced with either an industry or consulting background, the successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of technology and audit frameworks and will bring extensive experience with team leadership and development. Comfortable with networking and client relationship development, they will show an ability to provide mentorship, direction and leadership to a team of consultants with varied levels of experience.
Specifically, they should also ideally bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Information Systems); advanced degrees highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to nurture effective client relationships.
- Extensive team leadership experience.
- A minimum of six years of experience in industry or consulting roles.
- In-depth understanding of internal audit frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) and risk management standards (e.g., ISO 31000).
- Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Demonstrated client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Business development experience and ability to identify growth opportunities.
- Project management expertise with the ability to lead complex engagements.
- Exposure to cloud technologies and IT operational frameworks.
- A diverse background across IT strategy, implementation, and audit best practices.
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Technology Strategy and Operations
- IT Operations and Infrastructure Performance Improvement
- Technology Risk Management.
- A high level of integrity and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
