About the Role:
The Graduate Engineer provides diverse engineering support across the Engineering Team. The role rotates through various engineering functions to build broad technical capability. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering designs, conducting asset inspections, collecting condition data, updating Asset Management Plans, investigating asset‑related issues, supporting operational and maintenance works, and helping scope and deliver new, upgraded and renewal works. The role also assists in consultant engagement, procurement processes and drainage assessments.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
• Reviewing and providing input into engineering designs
• Undertaking asset inspections and preparing schedules
• Supporting updates to Asset Management Plans
• Investigating and resolving asset‑related issues
• Supporting delivery of asset operational and maintenance works
• Identifying renewal, upgrade and new works
• Engaging/managing consultants and supporting procurement processes
• Providing technical support for drainage and stormwater assessments

About You
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of Our Values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Strong customer‑service orientation with effective communication and negotiation skills
• Good analytical skills and the ability to make sound judgements
• High‑level oral and written communication skills, including preparing reports for technical and non‑technical audiences
• Bachelor of Civil Engineering (preferred) or relevant tertiary qualification (maximum four years post‑graduation)
• Current driver's licence
