Mine Planning Specialist
About the Role
This position is for an experienced Mine Planner to develop and maintain medium to short-term mine designs and schedules. The role involves working closely with key stakeholders to monitor and report on production performance against plans.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with operational teams to ensure productivity and efficiency in schedules.
* Prepare detailed site physicals for budgeting processes and communicate effectively with technical services personnel.
* Provide rolling forecasts and budgets for the operation, taking into account resource requirements and utilisation.
* Communicate with mine operations personnel on deliverables for mid/long-term schedules.
* Assist and mentor other members of the technical services team as required.
* Ensure compliance with site safety management systems, statutory requirements, and legislation.
* Actively identify and report hazards and incidents.
* Participate in safety investigations as necessary.
* Adhere to safe work practices at all times.
* Undertake project work as directed by senior management.
