Our opportunity
This role plays a key part in delivering Mirvac's Capital Transactions strategy, supporting the acquisition, development, and divestment of assets across targeted sectors and markets.
You will be responsible for the successful execution of real estate transactions for both Mirvac and Mirvac Capital Partners, whose investment mandates span a diverse range of opportunities.
Working closely with the Capital Transactions Director, Capital Transaction Managers, the Group General Manager of New Business & Capital Transactions, as well as Fund Managers, Asset Management, Development, and the wider Capital Transactions and New Business teams, you will gain exposure to all major asset classes.
What you'll be doing
* Drives the delivery of financial and operational performance of assets across multiple commercial asset classes (Office, Industrial, Retail) to derive insights for the business
* Assists with the successful end‐to‐end execution of significant real estate transactions by project managing certain workstreams, raising risk, and maximising value at every stage
* Set and guide financial model valuation assessments and sensitivities, ensuring rigor and accuracy, and advising stakeholders on complex valuation methodologies and implications
* Required to review due diligence material to confirm financial model assumptions and to make risk assessments of a transaction
* Guides Senior Management in assessment and implementation of new business opportunities
* Prepares and reviews marketing proposals, transaction budgets, program of a transaction process
* Manage the collation of sales data, financial and market analysis
* Lead key business initiatives around process and source system improvement to improve user experience and functionality
* Provide coaching and guidance on technical analysis, due diligence and financial modelling for more junior analysts
* Preparation of Investment Committee Papers
What you'll bring
You are a professional with at least 5-7 years financial services and/or property industry experience with a strong understanding of the operation of target property markets.
You will also have:
* Minimum of 2 years of experience undertaking real estate transactions and industry experience
* To have had experience in the acquisition and disposal of assets would be looked at favourably
* Forbury or other related property financial modelling experience
* Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management or Property required with post graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline favourably viewed ability to develop and maintain relationships with a diverse range of groups ranging from investors, agents, owners, lawyers, property specialists, accountants, fund managers as well as industry peers
* Strong project management skills essential
* Strong technical and financial background and competent in valuation/financial modelling
* Ability to provide efficient and effective strategic asset management advice relevant to strategic and commercial mandates
