With a strong focus on safety, compliance, and client relationships, the business continues to expand its operations across Queensland.
They are now seeking an experienced State Construction Manager, based in Meadowbrook, QLD, to lead operations, drive project delivery, profitability, and team performance. The role focuses on achieving safe, compliant, and timely outcomes, building strong client relationships, and supporting business growth through improved conversion of quoted opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
* Drive construction performance by meeting/exceeding client KPIs, monitoring staff metrics, and ensuring timely project delivery.
* Oversee all construction activities to ensure compliance with relevant building codes, Australian standards, permits, and WHS requirements.
* Provide technical advice, resolve escalations, and support risk management by reporting on performance, issues, and opportunities to the leadership team.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve complaints, and ensure best-in-class service and performance across projects.
* Lead, mentor, and develop construction teams through training, state-based meetings, recruitment, and ongoing staff development initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships by responding to queries, managing escalations, and ensuring service level agreements and KPIs are consistently achieved.
* Prepare and present performance reports, client reports, and business insights, while fostering collaboration between staff, trades, clients, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience.
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems, with the ability to monitor, implement, and ensure compliance with expected outcomes.
* Advanced problem-solving skills, able to identify risks, develop collaborative solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey messages clearly and build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and trades.
* High level of professionalism, accountability, and ethical standards, with the ability to take ownership of outcomes and contribute specialist expertise.
* Self-awareness and teamwork mindset, reflecting on performance, seeking feedback, and fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
