This role is instrumental in supporting the Tax Manager with the organisation's tax compliance, reporting, and advisory responsibilities.
You will play a key role in ensuring adherence to statutory obligations, maintaining robust tax governance frameworks, and providing accurate tax advice in support of strategic business initiatives.Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of all tax compliance and reporting obligations, including: Consolidated Income Tax Return and associated schedules Tax-effect accounting, including deferred tax calculations and note disclosures Monthly BAS and annual FBT returns PAYG Instalments, Payroll Tax, Workers' Compensation, Stamp Duty, and Emergency Services/Fire Services Levies Ensure adherence to the organisation's Tax Management Plan, Tax Risk Management Plan, and Governance Framework Maintain and administer tax compliance platforms and systems Support internal tax audits, reviews, and risk assessments Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the integration of tax technologies Provide timely and accurate tax advice to internal stakeholders on various projects Assist with the preparation and delivery of internal tax training Stay current with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to senior finance leaders Your Skills and Capabilities Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and compliance requirements Demonstrated ability to conduct tax research and provide written tax advice High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills Proficient in financial systems and tax-related technologies Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Taxation, or a related field Currently undertaking or completed Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent Prior experience in a similar in-house role or within a large accounting firm is highly regarded Experience with TechOne and Power BI along with advanced Excel Your Rewards Competitive salary and attractive benefits A collaborative, enabling and supportive team environment Hybrid Opportunity – Enjoy Work and Life Balance Apply Now Please send your resume by clicking on the apply button.
