Founded to advance the tripartite missions of clinical care, learning and research, we are bold and ambitious in our pursuit of patient-centred excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and specialist data modelling and technical support of relevant pipeline architectures, database or integration platforms and associated tools and technologiesLead the design, development, implementation, and operational support of integration solutions, databases, pipelines, and system integrations using industry-standard technologies (e.g., HL7, FHIR, APIs, web services, messaging queues)Collaborating with IT architects, business analysts, and clinical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Provide advice to MQ clients and MQ IT leadership in relevant subject matter domains, including identification and evaluation of emerging technologies and trendsOversee and execute the design, implementation, and operation of IT services, technology systems, and infrastructure in relevant domains, including liaison with internal and external stakeholders, service partners and suppliers, and ensure compliance with relevant MQ and MQ IT standards and processesManage and review relevant changes to systems and configuration to ensure compliance with operational requirements for service deliveryAssess and plan for availability, performance, and capacity of services and resources to ensure cost-justifiable business needs and service level expectations are met, and future needs are consideredLead continuous improvement of relevant operational processes, standards and procedures, and ensure that support documentation is developed and maintained to ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently, and to mitigate the likelihood and severity of service outagesLead the development of relevant technical capability within the MQ IT service support organisation, including knowledge sharing and coachingContribute to project work as subject matter expert, working with project manager to scope, size and complete work assigned to agreed performance targetsComply with relevant EEO and WHS regulationsAbout YouTertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.Knowledge and experience as a subject matter expert in one or more relevant data modelling tools (such as erwin), data pipeline technologies (such as Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Python, Alteryx, etc.), database platforms (such as Oracle, mySQL, SQLServer, etc.), or application integration and data integration platforms and technologiesHigher order analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills applied to the relevant data or integration specialisation and technology platformKnowledge of core Information Technology functions, structure, policies, systems, processes and proceduresExperience in the relevant technical discipline such as data modelling, data pipeline technologies, database development and managementProviding specialist data and/or integration support in the context of a mature IT service delivery organisation supporting both cloud and hybrid on-premises application configurations.Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret requirements and information from numerous sources.About UsMacquarie is a university engaged with the real and often complex problems and opportunities that define our lives.
