Offer description

We are seeking a skilled Surveyor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and processing accurate positioning data, including vessel and sensors, during shifts. They will collaborate with the Party Chief or Senior Surveyor to ensure adherence to procedures and specifications in acquiring and processing positioning data and calibrations within the scope of work. The Surveyor will diligently document results using relevant forms and promptly communicate any necessary revisions to forms and procedures to the Party Chief or Senior Surveyor.

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Assisting with mobilizing surface and subsurface sensors onto vessels, ROVs, trenchers, and ploughs
* Interfacing surface and subsurface sensors into online software packages
* Calibrating surface and subsurface systems, including alongside calibrations
* Verifying geodetic and datum shift parameters within online setup with client-supplied test points
* Attending pre-shift meetings to gain an understanding of forthcoming operations and liaising with client representatives during operations
* Communicating effectively during operations to direct ROV and vessel crew and other disciplines over clear communications or radio
* Operating word processing and spreadsheet applications
* Operating online software packages used by the company
* Performing basic operations on survey system components, including regular system status checks
* Maintaining an accurate and complete online log and log book to report survey operations
* Producing field reports and memos as assigned/required by Senior Surveyor and Party Chief

The ideal candidate will have education in geomatics, surveying science, and/or relevant industry experience/military/academic experience in survey-related disciplines. Experience with AUV is considered an added advantage. The candidate must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the company routinely operates.
